What a fun week we had in Kinder Bridge learning around the theme of winter animals!! This is Mrs. Jeana updating the blog. :) It was such a joy to fill for Ms. Angela this past week and work with all these precious kids. Thankfully her surgery went really well! She told me she sure misses the kids, and I know she looks forward to being back with them in five weeks.
such cute owls!!!
As the kiddos made these cute crafts, they also learned that owls stay warm in the winter because they are covered in feathers.
making footprints in the snow!
I was so impressed with how well all the kids did doing their "color by site word" penguin paper!
We also learned this week about how blubber keeps many winter animals warm. (like penguins!)
fun playing in the "snow" with winter animals :) Some of the kiddos decided to make their own animals out of leggos. very creative!
Mrs. Crystal helped the class make cute polar bears from their little handprints. They also gave their fine motor muscles a workout and made their own snow with Q-tips and paint.
All the kids made special cards for Mrs. Angela. They missed her so much, and these cards were precious! They worked very hard. :)
How sweet is that?? :)
:)
A favorite game this week in the Minds in Motion room was "Musical Chairs" (using our own version of chairs:) If a child had to sit out, they got to be a cheerleader!
They also LOVED our penguin song this week. Above they are jumping into the water like a penguin!
"I'm a Little Penguin"
(to the tune of "I'm a Little Teapot")
I'm a Little Penguin black and white
short and wobbly an adorable sight
I don't know how to fly, but I love to swim
Just waddle to the water and dive right in!

Hope you are enjoying your weekend! I'm looking so forward to teaching your little ones again on Monday!
