DINOSAUR & OCEAN FUN!!!!!!!!

In the past weeks, we have dug deeply into the earth for fossils, and swam to the bottom of the oceans, all the while learning much about dinosaurs and the oceans. It is hard to believe that spring break is here, but we got in the mood with our beach day activities.

Our discussions about the ocean had to include the favorite sinking and floating experiment. It didn't take long for the boys to discover what the item was made out of was important.

Sailing, sailing in the ocean blue

The special treat for beach day was gummy fish in blue jello. Yummy in my tummy.

Even looking at books is more fun on beach towels.

Verbal recognition of numbers and letters was the review for this day.

Look at me!!!!!!!!

A long white envelope painted grey with jagged teeth becoms the greatest shark ever.

Rainbow fish made from CD's.

Octopus down under

Water resist paintings

Much more than just 12 shark crackers. Mrs. Angela named a group like six groups of two and we had to make what she said. A little tricky, but worth it since we got to eat them in the end.

Now that we've completed all 26 letters of the alphabet, we can match the upper and lower case letters.

We never tire of indoor magnetic fishing.

Counting money is a skill we used in catching and paying for our fish.

Baking soda, vinegar and red food coloring are the ingredients for the perfect volcano and a captivating audience.

Building their own red volcano.

Digging for pasta letters(fossils) in the play dough

WATCH OUT WORLD HERE WE COME!!!!!!!!!!!!

Dentists, construction workers, scientists, and astronauts are a few of the careers we learned more about in the last two weeks. Many of these occupations were people that served in our communities and helped us. Our activities, crafts, and experiments that we did just might lead us to become a famous scientist or astronaut some day. Watch out world here we come!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

This is my own spacecraft and I'm proud of it.

Finding out about space is more fun with a friend.

We each got to point out our favorite planet and explain why.

Remember there's no gravity on the moon so we had to bounce with our moon boots.

Magnetism is just like magic!!!!!!!!!

During our community helpers theme, we were dentists doing an experiment with hard boiled eggs which were like our teeth. One was soaked in water and one was soaked in coke over the weekend. The one that was soaked in coke was brown and we were going to try and brush the brown off. Do you think we could?

Putting the toothpaste on the brush.

No matter how much we scrubbed, we just couldn't get the brown sugary substance off the egg.

Mrs. Angela brought in a new road which the boys loved.

We only want a set of healthy white teeth. The task was to pick the white marshmallows out of the bag instead of the black beans representing the cavities.

With Bendaroos we can create almost anything.
