Bubbles and Daisies

Mrs. Angela is so happy to be back with her darlings.  Since then we have done activities and read books with Dr. Seuss, the ocean, and St. Patrick's Day.  Take a look at all the fun we've had.
A variation of Duck, Duck, Goose.  Cat, Cat, Hat.

It's more fun to do Dr. Seuss activities with a Cat in the Hat on.

We've had a few nice days outside and we loved it, especially Ms Angela.

Our sensory table was the perfect time to learn about magnets, what materials were magnetic and which ones weren't.

 Bubble wrap painting.
 Graphing our favorite ocean creatures.
You've heard of musical chairs, this was musical fish with numbers on them.

 Hopping over the shamrock trail.

Magical shamrocks.  Painting over them and  a sight word appeared.

These numbered elephants went to one hundred, and yes these boys connected them.

This treasure chest was filled with golden coins and the children liked hiding it in the room.
An old game, but new to them, London Bridges.  By the look on their faces, they loved it.

 Parachuting is hard work!!!!

Some were old pros at cracking the eggs.
Seven out of twelve liked our green eggs.

Dental Health

We had a fun week learning all about dental health!!

We were having a big conversation about our teeth.....

... can you tell?? :)

This group loves the alligator song .... couldn't get enough of it!

Here we are in circle time getting ready to do a science experiment.  We discussed how egg shells are white and hard like our teeth.

Friends helped me pour coke, coffee, water, and vinegar into cups.

Then as a class we made guesses, "hypotheses", about what would happen to the egg shells as they soaked overnight.

alphabet bingo!

The next day we examined our eggs!  Here the class is feeling how squishy the egg in vinegar became. (...and that this is what plaque could do to our teeth if we don't brush!)

The eggs in coke and coffee turned brown and yucky!  In the sensory bin, the kiddos were able to brush the eggs and see if brushing helped clean them.  It did!

measuring toothbrushes!

I loved all these sweet and funny responses.  :)

sweet smiles

Hope you enjoyed a glimpse of your child's week in Kinder-bridge. :)  Have a great week!!
