The most valuable lesson we've learned in the last two weeks is that all creatures are important no matter of size in God's eyes.  Within that concept we had an introduction to the food chain. We sang I just thank God for making me, ME.

Our math skills were tested as we put the inch worm in order from left to right.

Mrs. Angela read the story, "The Very Hungry Caterpillar."  with a hand puppet.
After we listened to the story "The Very Hungry Caterpillar," we played the board game.

Students took the bag home and put an item in it.  The next day their classmates had to guess what was in the bag with only giving them the first letter.  We often needed more clues.

Matching ladybugs.

Instead of one big puzzle, the students worked on 20 three word puzzles.

We recycled newspaper into pirate hats on Earth Day.

Trying his hand at teaching.
More discoveries about magnetism.

It's so much easier to remember the parts of a flower when you write them.

A variation of the celery experiment.

Besides planting individual seeds, we planted herbs in an egg carton.

The four things that every plants needs.

We painted the pots and then planted marigolds seeds.  We'll need some real sweet talking to make them grow.
I told them we were going to eat worms in dirt, but only a few of them bought that story.  One little guy asked for some milk with  his Oreos.

OUTER SPACE JOURNEY

The ocean and its many creatures, space, the planets, and magnetism were the main topics covered the last two weeks. We are so smart and we are sounding out and recognizing so many words.  The new outdoor playground is simply AWESOME!!!!!!!  Come join us in our outer space journey.
We each took a space walk in our special boots to learn about gravity and to identify our sight words.

He's pretty proud of his rocket.

Discovering and creating in the sensory table.

With the help of our friends and the balloons, we demonstrated what causes day and night.

We couldn't go two weeks without at least one edible craft.  Gluing goldfish to our fishbowls.

 Fishing for letters
We can make our own simulated tornadoes.
The paper clip made the space craft magnetic to send it off the planet Earth.
 Mrs. Angela's keys were magnetic
A race between you and this ferocious shark to name the letters.
