Bubbles and Daisies

Although it was a rainy week, we didn't lack for active play indoors.  The pet theme added to our enthusiasm as we danced, crawled, rolled, and played dead.  We did this through games such as Simom Says, music, and role played animals from the zoo, forest, and our homes.
Simon says is a great game for listening skills.

Simon says meow like a cat.

We ate a few of these kind of goldfish in our bowls.

Pattern blocks were a terrific hands on activity.

We took shapes and made our own animals.  This turned out to be a bear.

Orally we can count to twenty, but can we follow the dots to twenty?  You betcha!!!!!!!!

During this rainy week, we got to do more active indoor play like dancing to Animal Action.
Are we pets, forest or zoo animals?  We were discussing the differences.

Doggie, doggie who stole your bone?   Another indoor game where one student took the bone and hid in another room. We had a blast with this one.

FRIENDS

We're tracing our friends patterns and telling why we like them.
Pull out a puzzle piece, find my match, and then buddy paint with them.

Everyone needs a sticker reward for following directions.
Our future generation of architects, doctors, construction workers, and of course the military.

Name recognition, shape recognition, fine motor skills stringing them on a necklace of all our classmates names all in one activity.   WOW!!!!!!!!
We are playing musical shares instead of musical chairs. With only half as many chairs as needed, we had to share a chair with a friend when the music stopped.  Sometimes it was kind of hard to share, but we had to ask in a nice way.  And then, when we finally got a secured spot, Mrs. Angela made us get up and tell what number was on the chair.  This preschool stuff is fun and easy for me.

Children are a Gift From God

Thank you to our families for participating in our home school activity. These graphs will proudly be displayed in our room.  During the week, the children talked about why they loved their families.  Answers were sweet, honest, and told like a preschooler.  I guess you could say our Bible verse says it best, " Children are a gift from God."

Painted feet- lots of giggles- beautiful butterflies
Working at making circles

A Perfect Start!!!!!

Our Kindergarten Bridge got off to a perfect start with lots of singing, dancing, and discovering how special and unique we are.  With lots of smiles, sunshine, and learning about Jesus' love for us, we can't wait until next week when we share about our families.
