WEATHER WEEK AND FIRE SAFETY

The last two weeks we have learned so many new things about the weather and fire safety.  We especially liked talking into the play phone and dialing 9-1-1. We are looking forward to many fun fall activities.
The sensory table was filled with cotton balls or snow for weather week..
 Making patterns with weather shapes.
These girls had to pin the correct color when Mrs. Angela held up the color word.
 Making rainbows with watermelon rinds.

A good exercise in fine motor activity.
Mrs. Angela loves to do messy experiments- here she's making it rain.
The phone really talked to them and asked what was their emergency?  We worked on reporting our addresses.

He dialed 9-1-1 and the engine came promptly.
 Climbing the letter ladder.
 Our cute Dalmatian pups
 Practicing STOP, DROP, AND ROLL!
So creative building a fire truck with blocks.
These firefighters were putting out the flames in the burning house.

Our science experiment- the flame goes out if it doesn't get any air.

The wheels on the fire truck go round and round.

FAMILIES SO DEAR AND APPLES

The past two weeks we talked about our dear families and yummy apples. We sampled apples, applesauce, apple juice and apple cereal and graphed the one we liked the best.  We are learning to share and improving our listening skills.
These pictures show various parts of our obstacle course.

They told me they were building a castle. I like the team work.
Each family member was a link in the chain.
One of our apple activities this week was sorting by size and color.

Our train track was mighty long this week.
This poster was yes about APPLES!!!!!
They loved the game of "London Bridges."
Our sensory table was full of apple cinnamon smelling play dough.  Do you think he liked it?
Very intense thinking on these sequence cards.
Apples are not just for eating.  We had an apple relay and played hot apple instead of hot potato.
We learned a new word this week.  These trees make up an apple "orchard."
Apple bingo to review our shapes and numbers.
