SPIDERS, AND SKELETONS, AND BATS OH MY!!!!!!!!!

Dressing in costume was a big part of our Halloween week, but we also learned a lot about bats and spiders.
We made a yarn web.  You could only pass the yarn to another person if you said their name and said something nice about them:)
Our web became a parachute with a spider in the middle.
We got a lot of mileage out of our web.  Insects with letters on them were attached to the web and the children had to put on spider rings and identify the letters before they could eat the insects.  Delicious.

Halloween Oreos and orange drink were pretty yummy.

Pin the nose on the pumpkin with the assistance of a friend holding the blindfold.
Candy corn bingo with color word recognition.
Hot pumpkin, instead of hot potato.
Cup stacking and knocking down was fun.
Another game at our Halloween party was a bean bag toss.
Mrs. Angela showing the skeleton's arm was about the size of hers.
Painting his tube to make a bat.
This was a picture of our sensory table this week. Lots of black. Black beans, black pasta, black spider rings, black confetti equals lots of FUN!!!!!!

PUMPKINS, PUMPKINS, PUMPKINS

We were glad to see our friends after fall break and many of us had gone to the pumpkin patch during break so we knew all about pumpkins.  We learned the different parts of the pumpkin and got to be creative by designing our own faces on our pumpkins.
I can use cubes to measure my gourd.
I'm going to need a lot of cubes to measure this pumpkin.
This baby one won't take many cubes.
Sponge painting pumpkins on the vine.
Designing unique faces on our jack-o-lanterns.
Making shape faces on our pumpkins.
Can't decide if he wants to touch or not?????
He made a dinosaur out of cubes. Pretty neat!!!

LEAVES

For leaf week we really had to use our imaginations because many of the leaves have not changed colors or have fallen from the trees.  Many of us will be traveling in the next two weeks for fall break and will see these changes. Whether we travel or not, we will have many things to tell our friends.  We hope everyone has fun over fall break.
These two cuties had twin stomper slippers for PJ day!!!!!!
They did such a great job on their tissue creation pictures.

All day today we listened to Mozart (Moses as they called him) during our activities.  After we made our leaf dancers, we kept time to the music and watched ourselves in the mirror.
Roll the pumpkin and whatever shape it landed on, they had to name the shape.
We each got to match the capital with the lower case letter.
