Oh What Fun!!!!!!!!

The weeks before Christmas were spent talking about the true meaning of Christmas.  I really feel the children understood that we celebrate the birthday of Jesus.  We added cotton balls to Jesus' manger to make it soft by doing and saying nice things to our classmates.  We also had lots of fun making and decorating gifts for our parents. We look forward to seeing our friends and teachers in Jan.
Each child got to stir the gingerbread batter.
 Making Christmas chains.

Putting together a gingerbread puzzle.

He didn't get away in Mrs. Angela's oven.  He was soooo tasty.

Some of the kids came back for seconds and thirds of the gingerbread man.
We learned to sew or lace our own stockings.  Then we filled them with pictures of toys we cut from ads of what we wanted Santa to bring us.

The gears Mrs. Andrea brought in have become a favorite.

We discovered that a candy cane upside down is really a J.  We put red, green, and white beads on the J and then added it to  esus to spell Jesus.

The sensory table was filled with boxes, wrapping paper, and tape.   The children really enjoyed wrapping up toys from our room and surprising friends and myself with gifts.
We start everyday in the minds in motion room with a variety of  gross motor skills.
Boys planning their strategy for the next activity.
Reindeer training before the big night.
 Reindeer exercises

We decorated and stuffed our red bags with gifts for our dear parents.
Rudolphs made out of chocolate donuts, cherry candy, and pretzels.

We had individual birthday cakes (jumbo marshmallows) and candles to pretend to blow out for Jesus' birthday party.
Looking at all the soft cotton balls we gathered by doing nice things for Jesus.
Aren't we just the cutest kiddos ever in the night of our Christmas program?
