Pond life, plants, and Earth Day were the focus for the last two weeks. We  have learned so much and we loved playing outside. We even picked up trash to keep our play area clean.

By this time in the year we are able to work difficult 48 piece puzzles. Give yourself a pat on the back, friends.
You do the Hokey Pokey when it rains, rains, rains.
These girls got to feed Mr. frog if they could say their sight words.

A parmesan cheese can makes a perfect frog.
After making marshmallow flowers, of course we got to eat some.

 Various uses for egg cartons.

Cleaning up the trash on the playground was part of our Earth Day activities.
 Checking out our recyclable materials.

Each month we design a seasonal object to sit on during carpet time.
Our celery experiment to show how water travels up the stem of a plant.

Although we did many fun activities like painting eggs and hunting for eggs, our main focus was the story of Jesus dying and rising.  I really feel like the children understood the importance of this idea.  We are very excited that spring is here and hope that these April showers do bring May flowers.
Holding the sponge with a clothespin makes it easier to paint.
Our sponge painted eggs.

This friend is putting the bunnies in order from 1-10.
Bunny confetti, plastic eggs and lots of rainbow rice filled the sensory table which was a big hit.
We made our own Easter bags.
Guess who's under the mask, Mrs. Angela?
A perfect day for an Easter egg hunt.

 Opening our eggs

Balancing eggs on spoons was one of our Easter games.

The Resurrection eggs were an interesting way to find out the story of Jesus' death and resurrection.
 Making those bunnies hop.
 Jesus is Risen Crosses.

We talked about the Statue of Liberty and the presidents.
