Ringing in the New Year

Ringing in 2011 with our door handle bells, we are glad to be back at school Where the Love of Learning Begins!

Let it snow! Let it snow! Let it snow! And it really did!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Colored ice cubes- a different medium to paint with. The colors were so vibrant, they looked inviting enough to eat, but we refrained. We're waiting for our real slushies.

Our pajama day gave us individually the opportunity to show and share our favorite stuffed animals.

Shaving cream mixed with glue makes a wonderful fluffy substance.

Besides the fun aspect of shaving cream, it also provided another way for us to practice writing our names, letters, and numbers. The smell was terrific also.

This ice experimenting really made us come up with some very creative ways to get the objects out of the ice, but we love to "predict."

Each person got an ice cube. Oh my it was very very cold. Our mission was to see who could make it "evaporate" the fastest.
Mrs. Angela poured salt on our ice cubes.

After we poured warm salt water on our ice sculpture, we were able to easily dig out what we had buried earlier in the week.
