Each of us was measured to see if we were as tall as an Emperor penguin. Our heights were then recorded on our chart for midyear. We will have one more measurement at the end of the year.
Stamping our sight words helps us to remember them more easily
A new item introduced this week into class was Bend-a-roos. These wax covered colored strings are pliable and perfect for designs, making shapes, letters, and just about anything. A much better way to learn the letter S than just seeing it on paper.
We didn't want to forget about our fine feathered friends so we made them a bird feeder of cereal.
WADDLE-WADDLE-WADDLE
The male penguin has nothing on us. Balancing the beanbags (our pretend eggs) took alot of patience.
Matching the upper and lower case letters on these mittens was challenging, but mastered.
We decorated and cut out our own mittens to retell the story"The Mitten."
