Bubbles and Daisies

There are so many activities and crafts to do with apples that we will probably continue into next week with this theme.  This was a big taste testing week for our Bridge class as we studied the sense of taste and learned where on our tongue we taste sweet, salty, sour and bitter.  We also got to sample lots of things made from apples and other foods.  It was truly a yummy week.

A little Hokey Pokey to help us learn right from left.

Sampling one of our apple snacks, applesauce.
Doesn't look like a pickle face, but that's what she's eating
No one turned down the salty or sweet treats.
 A salty chip
A piece of bitter dark chocolate.
Matching capitals with lower case paper apples.
The sensory table this week was truly a SENSORY table.  It was filled with apple smelling petals, cinnamon sticks, beads, green marbles, and baskets.
We learned a group of apple trees is called an orchard.
So much easier to glitter anything with a shaker.
Apple cereal bingo to review our letters and numbers.
Each of us stamped our favorite apple snack.
This is how our graph of apple products ended with apple juice winning big over plain apples, applesauce, and apple cheerios.
We love to celebrate birthdays in our bridge class.  We were also provided with a sweet treat of donuts.
